I don't collect your information. The ads do, a little.

Flap is an iPhone game made by NJM Digital (run by Nick, in Australia). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
No account, nothing collected by me
There's no sign-up. I don't collect your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location, and I don't run my own analytics or servers for the game.
What the game stores on your phone
- Your best score.
- Whether sound is on or off.
- Whether you've bought Remove Ads, so it still works when you're offline.
This stays on your phone. I can't see it. Deleting the game removes it.
Ads
Flap is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob: a short ad between some rounds, and an optional ad you can choose to watch to continue after a crash. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information from your device, such as your advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking), IP address and the rough location it suggests, device and app details, how you interact with ads, and crash and performance data. This is covered by Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Where the law requires it (for example the EU, UK and Switzerland), you'll see a consent message before ads load. You can change your choice later from Settings in the game (the gear icon).
- iOS asks whether Flap can track you across other companies' apps and websites. You can say no and still play. Ads will just be less relevant.
- You can change this at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
- Buying Remove Ads stops the ads between rounds. The "watch an ad to continue" option stays available if you want it, so Google's ad service still runs in the game.
Purchases
The Remove Ads purchase is handled by Apple. I never see your card or payment details. Apple tells the game that the purchase was made, and nothing else about you.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share app analytics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may pass me anonymous crash reports. I can't identify you from them.
Children
Flap is a general-audience game and isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children, and ads in Flap are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
Overseas
Google may process ad data outside Australia, including in the United States.
Your choices
Because I don't collect personal information through the game, there's usually nothing for me to show or delete. If you have a question or a concern, email [email protected], and I'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not happy with how I've handled a privacy concern, please tell me first so I can fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
